Los Angeles Election Project
Los Angeles Election Project at a Glance
The LA Election Project (LAEP) is a grassroots political group. Our mission is to get more people involved in the political process and elect Democratic candidates by taking the actions that win elections. LAEP knows that winning elections is the key to creating the change we wish to see in our communities, state, and nation.

We Take Actions That Win Elections
What We've Done
Most recently, LAEP joined with the DCCC and the Christy Smith campaign to flip California's 27th district.
LAEP has been involved in helping the following campaigns win their races:
-
President Joe Biden
-
Governor Gavin Newsom
-
Senator Raphael Warnock (GA)
-
Senator Jon Ossoff (GA)
-
Senator Mark Kelly (AZ)
-
Senator Gary Peters (MI)
-
Senator Jacky Rosen (NV)
-
Senator Kyrsten Sinema (AZ)
-
Congresswoman Katie Porter (CA-45)
-
Congresswoman Katie Hill (CA-25)
LAEP achieved these results through thousands of hours of calls into swing districts, thousands of conversations with voters in swing states, and by raising thousands of small dollar contributions to support organizers and campaigns.
LAEP has also registered new voters in purple districts, canvassed in swing districts, and organized educational events.
2022 And Beyond
Protecting Democracy and Making An impact
LAEP believes the healthiest democracies encourage its citizens to vote and participate in the political process. The assault on voting rights throughout the nation is an attack on our nation, its citizens, and our democracy. We have pledged to focus our current efforts on taking actions that encourage more people to be involved in the political process and protect voting rights.
“Freedom is not a state; it is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau where we can finally sit down and rest. Freedom is the continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.”
